daily painting | barnyard

OK this one isn’t exactly a daily painting as I worked on it over several days, and it’s a big one, but I wanted to post it here. It started as a stretched canvas of an older piece, and I wanted to rework it, keeping in mind the E Bay Open Studios exhibition this year (first 2 weekends in June). The “Barnyard” title came from the rooster-like image in the upper right, and it seemed to have lively elements in it like a busy farm. Cock-a-doodle-do, baybee.

50″ x 51″ acrylic, oil pastel, pencil on canvas = $3500 (stretched canvas)
